Vermont in October (End of a Season)
November 2, 2014
It’s a blustery, grey November day here in southern Vermont. The foliage has lingered on Wickopee Hill in Dummerston longer than in other areas. But today the fallen, brown leaves dance across my meadow while only a few stalwart trees cling to their colors and show off like a strutting peacock.
The frigid air speaks of a change of season; my wood stove invites me to sit and meditate before its warm glow. I reach for a blanket and wrap it around my shoulders. Winter whispers, “Bundle up, my friend. I’m coming for a visit and I’ll be staying for a while.”
Here’s a selection of photos and videos taken at the end of October around Brattleboro and Dummerston with my Nikon D3100 and iPhone 6.
The end of a season.

I’m impressed by the iPhone 6 pictures. Very nice.
Hi Karen! Yes the iPhone 6 takes incredible pics, doesn’t it? I couldn’t believe it when I first saw it. I have been meaning to write for some time now. Long email on its way. I’m starting a new job and been crazy busy. Forgive my absence. Sending much love to you, Jack and Elizabeth!!
